High Temperature & Pressure is where we excel. Today's modern LATTY® packing designs allow for ease of installation and removal. These materials perform just as well off the spool as die-formed.
Typically used to take up excess space in the stuffing box. These can also be used as a bearing to help aid in stem alignment and extend packing set life. Carbon bushings provide no chance for stem damage as compared to metal spacers.
With LATTY®'s patented Filcoat process we can offer rotary packing manufactured from strong fibers such as Kevlar without the risk of shaft wear. This allows us to seal difficult large shaft, high speed applications such as refiners for as much as three times longer than similar products.
MSS offers a wide range of fabricated gaskets from standard ANSI flange to turbine cross over and high pressure heater applications. In stock is an assortment of non-asbestos sheet materials for nearly any application. High temperature graphite sheet with stainless steel reinforcement. Compressed fiber sheets for steam, water, oils, etc as well as expanded Teflon and modified Teflon sheets for aggressive applications. We also carry all types of rubber materials such as red rubber, neoprene, cloth-inserted diaphragm sheet, silicone, etc.
